Nikolai V. Barulin

Ph.D., Dr. habil.

I am a Belarusian scientist, teacher and administrator in the field of aquaculture, ichthyology, aquatic toxicology and biomedicine. From 2010 to 2023 - Chair of Ichthyology Department and Aquaculture at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy (Belarus). Professor of Aquaculture at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy 2023-2024 (Belarus). Fulbright Scholar and Senior Research Associate at Brown University 2023 (USA). Since April 2024 - Research Scientist at the Great Lakes Center at The Research Foundation for SUNY (USA).

My main research and educational interests are

· Aquaculture (Sturgeon, Trout, Catfish, Recirculating Aquaculture Systems, Biological Filtration, Artificial Reproduction of Fish, Sturgeon Sex Identification, Fish Sperm Biology, Fish Nutrition)

· Zebrafish as a Model for Research and Educational Process (Behavior, Toxicology (Embryotoxicology, Neurotoxicology), Neurobiology, Physiology, Oncology, Issues of Zebrafish Laboratory Breeding)

· Research Aquaculture and Biological Facilities

· Laser Physics and Optics (in Aquaculture)

· Cultivation Technology of Insects, Worms and Other Objects for Feeding Fish

· Biostatistics in R, Deep Machine Learning
